Re-Accreditation 2023

As part of our commitment to excellence in service delivery, BCFHRS seeks accreditation from CARF. CARF stands for the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities.

Notice of Accreditation and Livestreaming

An accreditation site survey will be taking place on the following dates:

Thursday, February 16, 2023 to Friday, February 17, 2023

Please be advised:

During the above mentioned time period, the building interior/facilities/premises may be subject to a livestreaming process for the purpose of accreditation. Images and audio of staff, clients, family members, and bystanders maybe seen and heard during the livestreaming. Livestreaming is not recorded or stored but may be transmitted outside of Canada.

If you do not want to be seen and heard when livestreaming is taking place, please take one of the following actions:

  • Avoid the premise during the accreditation site survey
  • Contact the organization’s management about “safe” times to access the premise during the site survey
  • Contact the organization’s management for “safe” locations on premises during the site survey

If you do not take one of the above actions, your consent is implied.

BC’s Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FIPPA) applies to the livestreaming. FIPPA S.26 applies to the collection of images and audio during the livestreaming. FIPPA S.32 applies to the use of livestreaming for the accreditation purpose. If you have any questions about your privacy or livestreaming, please contact either:
