As part of our commitment to excellence in service delivery, BCFHRS seeks accreditation from CARF. CARF stands for the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities.
In February 2023, our four Centres, including with the Surrey Early Speech and Language Program (SESLP), hosted CARF surveyors. The surveyors interviewed staff, families, community service partners and Board members about our services and programs. They also examined our policies and procedures and documentation processes to ensure they met CARF standards.
We are very proud to announce that as a result of that survey, the society has again received the highest possible result, a three year accreditation. The surveyors shared some helpful recommendations to further improve our organization – overall it was a very successful outcome. Thank you to everyone that agreed to participate in the survey, including our staff and Board for their commitment to families receiving the highest quality service possible.
